On Thursday, May 12, the 5th-8th grade students, along with their teachers and some chaperones, went to St. Paul, Minnesota on a field trip. They went to Mill City and also Fort Snelling. They took a coach bus there and back. When they got there they began their trip at Fort Snelling. At Fort Snelling they learned about what life was like during the time when Fort Snelling was a fort. There were many buildings that were sill standing from the fort that they toured. The students liked the fort very much. One of the tour guides made a nail and gave it to the school to keep. When it was around noon, the students took the bus to Mill City Museum. At the Museum, everyone ate a lunch. After lunch, the two classrooms split into two groups: the 5th-6th graders and the 7th-8th graders. While at Mill City, the students went to a water lab, saw a movie about the city, toured the museum, went on a scavenger hunt, and on an elevator tour. When they finished seeing the museum, they went back to school, with a stop at McDonald's.
