This year the seventh and eighth graders have been playing sand volleyball at Baier's Bar. This is really fun because the volleyball nets were already set up and it is fun playing in sand. They have also played Nuk'em and they had fun playing this. Its kind of like volleyball except you throw the ball over the net and then catch it instead of bumping it. The fifth and sixth graders have also been playing volleyball. They were also having lots of fun playing this. Overall, the students have enjoyed nice weather while playing volleyball.
The school year is here! It's a great time to start school again with the leaves falling and the temperature dropping. Each of the 5-8 Graders are either starting, or reviewing their conservation speeches. Now that school has started, it's time to get back into the swing of things! Lots of homework and new stuff to learn. Tests are getting harder and assignments are getting even more confusing than before! The 1st, 2nd, 7th, and 8th Graders aren't getting block teachers early in the year sadly, but everyone else is! The temperature in the past few weeks has been switching oddly. Going from 80s, to 60s, to 90s, and back to 60s. It's now getting colder and colder by the minute! Starting the school year can be fun sometimes, other times it isn't. On September 8th, after Mass, we had cupcakes to celebrate the birth of our Mother Mary. The students started off the celebration with a Hail Mary. They then continued with singing "Happy Birthday." We also had a few of the parishioners that were at Mass join in on the festivities. The cupcakes were provided by Mrs. Roxanne Swoboda. Mr. Normand came to help serve the students and visitors. It was discussed that we were celebrating the birth of Mary not the birthday of Mary. We are not for sure the exact day that Mary was born. |
